It is a pleasure and delight that I welcome you to Hasam Foundation (Healthy and Safe Mothehood). Our mission is clear, to support marginalized women and girls, empowering them to lead healthier, safer, and fulfilled lives. We believe that the journey to womanhood starts from girlhood, and along this path, many are faced with different challenges.
In Nigeria today we are constantly presented with different issues from Child marriage, female genital mutilation, maternal mortality and poverty, just to mention a few, our work is rooted in tackling these pressing issues head on especially in communities across Nigeria.
According to the World Health Organization, true health is a state of completness which involves physical, mental, emotional, financial, and social well-being. That’s why our initiatives span a broad spectrum from providing healthcare and psychological support to offering financial empowerment programs and building social inclusion.
We focus on vulnerable and often overlooked groups women living with disabilities, those marginalized due to socio-economic status, education level, or health conditions, including those affected by HIV/AIDS.
At Hasam Foundation, we want to be present wherever there is a need and we strive to meet it. We don’t just provide aid but to give hope and creating opportunities for lasting change.
