Women’s Day Outreach
The Women’s Day Outreach program is an annual empowerment initiative by the Hasam Foundation, dedicated to uniting communities to uplift and empower women. This transformative program seeks to address the challenges faced by marginalized women, providing them with the tools, resources, and inspiration they need to thrive. The inaugural edition of the Women’s Day Outreach, held on the 29th of March, marked a significant milestone in the foundation’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
A Vision for Empowerment
The Women’s Day Outreach program was born out of the recognition that women, especially those in underserved communities, often face systemic barriers that limit their opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency. By focusing on empowerment, the program aims to break these barriers, fostering a sense of unity, resilience, and hope among women.
The first edition of the Women’s Day Outreach was a resounding success, made possible through the generous sponsorship of the esteemed Personal Assistant (PA) to the Nigerian President. This support underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in driving meaningful change.
The event brought together over fifty (50) marginalized women from various communities, offering them a platform to connect, learn, and grow. Through a series of inspiring workshops, motivational talks, and interactive sessions, participants were equipped with practical skills and knowledge to improve their livelihoods. Topics ranged from financial literacy and entrepreneurship to health and wellness, ensuring a holistic approach to empowerment.
The outreach made a profound impact on the lives of the women who attended. Many left the event feeling inspired and motivated to take charge of their futures. One participant shared, “This program has given me hope and the courage to pursue my dreams. I now believe that I can achieve anything with the right support and determination.”
In addition to the workshops, the women received essential resources, including starter kits for small businesses, health supplies, and educational materials. These tangible supports were designed to help them translate their newfound knowledge into actionable steps toward a brighter future.
