16 Days of Activism Against SGBV
Empowerment of Women in Commemoration of 16 days Activism on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence
At Hasam Foundation, we are dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive society for everyone. Our mission is to empower and educate communities to put an end to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). By raising awareness and fostering collaboration, we believe we can make a lasting impact.
Ending SGBV begins with education. Recognizing the signs of SGBV is crucial to taking action and protecting those at risk. Together, we can raise awareness, stand up against violence, and create a safer world for all.
In commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, the Women Affairs Secretariat partnered with Hasam Foundation to host an empowering event for women. This initiative aimed to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to take a stand against SGBV.
Taking the Message to the Heart of the Community
We traveled to the Center of Unity, a community far from the city’s hustle and bustle, to deliver a powerful message: NO TO SGBV. We held an impactful program that left us exhausted but more determined than ever to continue our mission. The fight against SGBV doesn’t stop it grows stronger with every voice that joins the cause.
During our outreach, we had the honor of meeting the Paramount Ruler of the FCT, the Ona of Abaji, and his supportive wife, our Royal Mother. Their voices and unwavering support added immense value to our campaign. With the backing of traditional leaders and the collaboration of the FCTA Women Affairs Secretariat and the Office of the Mandate Secretary, we are marching toward a future free from violence.
Together with our community, we stand strong in the fight against SGBV. Every step we take, every voice we raise, and every life we touch brings us closer to a world where everyone can live without fear. Join us as we walk hand in hand toward a brighter, safer future. 💪 #EndSGBV
